I moved to Houston in 2014 and found my yard and landscaping, at that time, to be in fairly good shape. Over the past few years, however, it fell into a slow decline, even as I worked with my then-lawn maintenance company to make improvements. Finally, as the yard, shrubs and flower beds were all decaying last fall/winter (2019-2020), I shopped around and, on the recommendation of a competitor–who was not operating in my area–I got in touch with Elements, both for weekly maintenance and a full recovery/replacement program. In the past two months they have worked wonders! The biggest and most immediate problem area was my backyard, with has 8 live oaks that provide substantial year-round shade. As a consequence, no grass was growing there, despite two full-scale replacements in the past 5 years and irrigation supplements. Greg from Elements immediately recognized the problem and proposed a solution: a new kind of grass (that my previous lawn crew had never recommended) as well as a general cleanup of the flower beds, etc. Two months later, the backyard grass is lush: greener, really, than almost anything around and quite full. The flowerbeds have been cleaned out, existing palms and shrubs trimmed, etc. In addition, Elements inspected my irrigation, fixed two problem areas, and put my entire lawn on a sensible watering schedule (both for the season and cost of irrigation). We’re about to embark on another project to replace some dead/old shrubs and fill in a number of areas where needed. And then we’ll do another project for an area of the yard where no work had been done over the past few years. I suspect all of this will be completed over the next couple of months–and if past success is any guide, these projects too will shine. I’m impressed with the level of talent at Elements, both from the experts, the weekly lawn crews, and the accounting/front desk operations. While investing in a lawn can be expensive, there are also a number of reasonable cost alternatives, which Elements recognizes and is willing to work out with their customers. Maintenance can be managed depending on need. In the end, I needed a full-service operation that could take care of more than just the weekly lawn mowing and occasional shrub trimming. Elements provides that full-service operation and does so very well. Highly highly recommended!

They really deserve more than 5 stars – as everything they’ve done has been done in a Covid environment. I was referred to Elements from another highly rated company who did not have openings in my service area. From my initial phone call all the way through their follow up to ensure I was happy with the work, these folks have been amazing. Maegan came out to do the initial assessment. She was great with the required physical distancing while being very thorough in her inspection of my yard. My yard was HORRIBLE, having pretty much every issue you can imagine a lawn having. She followed up with a detailed proposal and then the work was completed quickly. My lawn looks fantastic – better than I have seen it in so long. The work crews are clearly excellent at their jobs, and I know my lawn is a real challenge. My yard is very large, with several 45 degree angle slopes, about 15 Oak trees, and tons of rocks and boulders just under the surface. There were the usual leaves, pollen and weeds everywhere. Maegan made me a plan to get my lawn where it needs to be, with the first steps being completed already. I can already say my lawn will be gorgeous in a short time. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!

I had a really good experience working with Elements recently to get my yard in shape to put my house on the market. Brent met me as scheduled, discussed my needs, and prepared an estimate for me in a fairly short time frame. He did not try to up-sell me on things I didn’t need or want, but did make some helpful suggestions that I considered. He was responsive to my (many) queries, and communicative with me about the status of the work. Brent knew that I was no longer in the state when the work was performed, and sent me pictures of the work upon completion. My only regret is that I didn’t find Elements sooner. I would have liked to have worked with them while I was still living in Houston.

I have been using Elements Group since 2013 at the recommendation of a neighbor at our prior home and have been nothing but pleased. Our property managers have always been easy to get a hold of with any concerns or questions that we may have. We’ve used them for a variety of things, including routine lawn/irrigation maintenance, mulch, plant additions, aeration/compost, tree trimming, gravel/river rock, drainage system install/repair as well as landscape lighting. Given what other friends of ours pay for other landscape services, Elements pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the work. Definitely would recommend those that are considering a new landscape company.

I recently had these folks install a french drain between my house and the neighbor’s house. I was really nervous / anxious about the whole deal after the lines were marked before digging and it looked like a spider web puzzle in our front yards. However they got it completed without any disruption for cable, phone, internet, gas line etc. The employee in charge was Nacho, who has done work here before and is a hard worker and very conscientious. They cleaned up very good too.

The irrigation worked as advertised without too much of an addition to our water bill. The company did not ask for payment until they knew that we were thoroughly satisfied with the job.
