Stay Hydrated

We care about the safety of our workers and provide training about potential safety concerns. In summer, one that is at the top of our list is the importance of staying hydrated in hot weather.

If you find yourself working out in your yard this summer, take a minute to review these protective measures recommended by OSHA:

  • Increase rest periods
  • Drink plenty of water every 15 to 20 minutes (about 4 cups of water every hour while heat is between 103 and 115 F)
  • Do heavy tasks earlier in the day
  • Wear sunscreen
  • Try to stay in the shade or limit time in direct sunlight at peak temperatures
